LIFE ~ ART ~ INSPIRATION

I can find inspiration just about anywhere.  The surface pattern above is my interpretation of the roses my husband gave me for our wedding anniversary, last Thursday.  I never draw or paint the actual likeness of the subject.  I like to mix it up and use my own imagination.  I also like trying out new products from time to time.  On Saturday, a few new products arrived at our doorstep.  This week, I'm trying out watercolor paper, Artistico by Fabriano and, new pan watercolors by Sennelier.  I actually, love both products.  I believe they are keepers.  As an artist, I tend to purchase way too many art supplies, although, I do enjoy trying out new papers, mediums and, techniques. With doing so, it keeps the artwork fresh and new.

I am really excited about returning to freehand drawing and painting.  In the days ahead, I hope you will come along with me, so we can get to know each other.

Well, summer has come and gone.  I am looking forward to Fall.  How about you?

Sincerely,
Franchelle

STARTING OVER....

Has there ever been a time in your life where you had this feeling deep down inside, that you needed to step back and exam your life (Maybe, you're right where I am now). To figure out, if you're going down the correct path.  Well, that's what happened to me a few months ago.  I had to really look at my life, to dig deep down inside my soul, to exam and ponder, where I was going, to look at where I want to be on a personal and creative level.  So, I did just that, I examined, pondered, cried, laughed, screamed, danced, and prayed, until I came to a place where My Heart, My Soul, and the Child within me, the child that wants to play, to not take life and creativity, so seriously, would be free once again to explore life and, all that it has to offer.  As you can see by the artwork above, it has changed considerable from all the artwork that I have blogged about in the past.  I have stepped back, about 10 years, to a place where I first started creating artwork, with paint brushes, watercolors and, ink mediums.  I know this is how I will move forward, with a paint brush in my hand, colors splashing every which way on my art table and, with a smile on my face.  It's ironic, that we need to step back in order to come full circle, to a place, where we need to be in life.  I know, the best is yet to come...until next time...

Sincerely,

Franchelle
