LITTLE GIRLS + BIG STYLE

Here We Go! Something very new! Diane Ledesma from Fresno CA designed the adorable girly girl headbands.  Diane is actually my Cousin's wife and she offered to show me how South Hampton and the Sonoma Fabric collections worked together for trendy headbands.  I really love how Diane was able to blend the two collections using various rosettes to offer a unique style for little girls.

Thank you Diane for your generous offer.  It's always inspiring when another Designer enjoys
working with my fabric collections.

Hopefully, you will find inspiration in creating your own headbands for the little girls in your life.

DOCKSIDE TOP

The two photographs above were tagged at Momi Boutique's web site.  I really love when Rachel uses my fabric collections to design her girly girl toddler clothing and, the Dockside Top is no exception.  The top is trendy, playful, and beautiful all at the same time.

The South Hampton geometric pattern was used to tie this design together and it's actually one of my favorites, because of the way Rachel designed the back of the Dockside top.  Rachel's designs are so unique, I'm always auditioning her clothing line.  I'm hope you don't mind all the wonderful eye candy for girly girls worldwide.

You can visit Momi Boutique at www.momiboutique.com or Rachel's Etsy store at http://www.etsy.com/shop/momiboutique?ref=ss_profile

Thank you again Rachel for another trendy and plaful design using the South Hampton geometric pattern.

THIMBLES, BOBBINS, PAPER, AND INK

A photograph has been tagged on the Thimbles, Bobbins, Paper, and Ink web blog.  Jennifer gave me permission to audition the adorable toddler dress using the Sonoma rose fabric.  There is also a cute little bunny from the same fabric on Jennifer's web blog.

Jennifer also has a Martha Stewart video on how to sew the smock part of the dress using elastic thread in the bobbin.  The toddler dress only uses 1/2 yard of fabric, which is wonderful for Designers creating toddler boutique clothing.  Below is Jennifer's web blog address:

Thank you Jennifer for designing such an adorable toddler dress and for using the Sonoma rose fabric.

CREATIVE CHICS

Photographs have been tagged on the Etsy web site.  An apron designed by Creative Chics using the Sonoma fabric collection.  The pattern has a sexy halter back, which makes the apron very adorable.  I really love when I come across Designers using my fabric collections.  It makes the creative process of designing for the fabric manufacturers a pure delight.  When another Designer can earn a living using my collections, I get a very warm feeling in my heart.  My prayer for each collection is that someone will come across the fabric and fall in love with it and will want to use it for their creations.  Creative Chics sent me a very nice message about the Sonoma fabrics, which I will always keep close to my heart.  Thank You Creative Chics for a very trendy, adorable apron.

If you would like to see more of Creative Chics apron designs, please visit their Etsy web site at

ARTISTS IN THE MAKING

The last four days have been wonderful.  I was able to spend time with my family.  Last Wednesday, we gathered together to attend Sarah's High School Graduation.  On Friday, everyone gathered at our home during the day, so Leila and Saven could have a play date and, as you can see by the photograph, both of them were having a great time watercolor painting.  After, the paintings dried, I made sure to add their name, month, and year.  The toddlers decided to hang their paintings on the pantry door.  My great-Nephew Saven thought that was really something.  Leila is already use to auditioning her paintings on the walls of our home.

Friday evening, we all went together for a family dinner at one our favorite restaurants (Luna's Italian Restaurant in Clovis, CA).  Every Friday, during the summer months, Clovis, CA has a Farmer's Market where fresh fruit and vegetables are sold.  Old Town Clovis even hires a band and everyone dances as the band plays, the event even has games for the kids and pony rides.  The evening with my family was very nice and the weather was beautiful.

On Saturday, the time came for my parents to leave back home to Morro Bay, CA.
I will always remember the weekend when we gathered for Sarah's graduation.  As we know, nothing is guaranteed in this life, so spending time with family is very important.

Hello and Happy Holidays! The photographs above have been provided by web blog owner Anorina of "Samelia's Mum." Anorina lives in Australia and has been a fan of the South Hampton fabric collection, since it's debut, last year. As you will read on her web blog, it did take Anorina time to decide what she wanted to use the fabric for and, she finally chose the quilt design featured in the photographs. The quilt came out so beautiful!

SHELLIESEWS - SEWING PATTERN "TWIRLY GIRL SKIRT"

Another sighting of the Sonoma fabric collection being used for girly girl clothing. The skirt in the photograph was designed by Shellie and the sewing pattern is called Twirly Girl Skirt.

We all know little girls love to twirl around in pretty dresses or skirts, I know Leila does, she twirls even when she's not wearing a dress or skirt. I guess we were just born to twirl with visions of sugar plums dancing in our head, especially when we're young. Those moments in time are priceless.

Thank you so much Shellie for using the Sonoma fabric collection to design your new sewing pattern.

DO YOU LOVE PARTIES?
I know my Grand-Daughter loves parties. This weekend, Leila attended three birthday parties. When you're two years old it's all about party dresses, birthday cake, ice-cream, balloons, games, and lets not forget the most important "Birthday Presents". Yeah for parties...Wishing I was two years old again...

This evening, I just had to show off the cute party dress designed by "Hot Fudge" for Etsy. The Designer used the new sunflower and geometric patterns from the new Sonoma collection.

I just love when the Designers use my fabric for their toddler girly girl clothing lines. It's always such an honor. A very special "Thank You" to "Hot Fudge."

SQUEAL IF YOU LOVE ROSES

Another wonderful item made from the new Sonoma Fabric collection. If you love roses, you will love this dainty purse.

I really like how the Designer grounded the purse with a solid pattern, so the roses do not over power the purse itself. Very nicely created!

FREE FABRIC - SONOMA COLLECTION

Hello to everyone in blog land. I finally took the picture of my new fabric collection for Henry Glass Fabrics. I'm pleased with how the picture came out, its true to the color theme of the collection (Wine, Pink, Pale Yellow, Light Green). The pattern second from the top comes in pale yellow. The "Sonoma" collection is nice for Summer and Winter, because the collection is a mixture of cool and warm colors. You can sew when Spring comes around and during the Winter when we're all stuck inside due to the weather. You will not be bored with this new collection, there are so many ideas...there endless!

Now for the free fabric, I promised a contest for Fat Quarters of each pattern, which I intend to honor. Below are the rules for the contest.

There is a little Tot on my web blog who is the apple of my eye. Please tell me her name and how she is related to me. If you get the answer correct, your name will be placed into contest bowl. This should be fun, because if you have read my entire web blog, you already know who she is and how we're related to eachother.

Also, please tell everyone you know who loves to sew about the contest. The contest will remain open for one week. Good Luck to everyone and Thank You so much for reading my web blog even when I was away for the summer.

BTW, I'm also working on a third fabric collection, which I believe you will enjoy, especially, if you have a little Princess in your life.

Great Big Hugs from me to You!

LIFE IS SIMPLE AMAZING!

Welcome back to me! I have been away for a very long time trying to juggle life in designer land and to enjoy some of the summer months. Now, it's time to get back to work, uploading images of girly girl designs, and promoting the new Sonoma collection.

Fabric samples arrived last week, and if, I say so myself, the fabric looks fabulous. Consumers can create a variety of items with the fabric, which should be arriving in stores sometime this month.

I did promise a Fat Quarter contest, which will take place next week. Pictures need to be taken first, once I have them posted on the web blog, the contest will occur. Hopefully, there are still some following my web blog or at least stop in to see if a new post has been written by me.

I'm sure some of you may have thought "What happened to this Designer", I'm still here, but I have to admit, there are times when it's hard to do everything (i.e., sketch, design, post on the web blog, twitter, facebook, promote fabric colections, sew, and not to mention, taking care of the house). Now, I am not complaining, just saying, sometimes it's not easy to do everything I want to do, which is mainly design fabric collections, but as we all know in the real world, one should not design 24/7 or we will get burned out. So, I had to take some time out for myself and for my family. I hope everyone understands....

The photo above is from one of my favorite children's clothing designer, Rachel from "Momi Boutique". She always creates fabulous designs for the girly girl's in your life. Enjoy!

Hugs from me to you,
Franchelle

SPRING FORWARD WITH MOMI

As you will notice, I'm a very big fan of the Momi Boutique clothing line. It's not because the Designer is using my South Hampton fabric collection, it's all about the way she designs the clothing. I love the ruffle layered "It Not the Match, but the Mix" look of the dresses. All the toddlers look adorable in the summer on the beach style of dresses, so girly girl.

The photographs have been provided by Momi Boutique at my request. I love supporting other Designers. Enjoy!

Rachel is the Designer for Momi Boutique clothing and is very talented with the "Mix not the Match" blend of fabric. I have always been a fan of this style, it allows the clothing to be its own piece of art. The toddler has her own sense of style as well and shows off the dress beautifully.

The photograph above shows the back of the dress, so you can see the dress from front to back. I really love these photographs, because they are taken along the ocean and allow the charm of the dress to show through.

Thank you Rachel for the beautiful clothing design and for using the South Hampton fabric collection. I so much appreciate the thoughtfulness.

Hugs,
Franchelle
